Today I had a few minutes to have a quickie chit chat with Mizz DanaB, fabulous representative of LORAC, about the line's Spring 2008 products. Believe me, they are great! We've got the Breakthrough Performance Foundation which Dana explained is an oil-free anti-aging foundation with SMS complex and SPF 14. Then we've got the On Screen Duo which is a powder highlighter & cream eyeshadow/liner in one. The packaging is very cute and practical. The lid slides open to reveal the highlighting powder and when you unscrew it, you have your pot of cream eyeshadow right under that. Dana also demonstrated the new Visual Effects Mascara on me and I absolutely loved it. First of all, the brush happens to be a comb that really does separate the lashes. For the gals that aren't fans of the extra clumpy, fake-ass look, this one's for you. It lengthens and curls, too. Can't wait to get my hands on a tube! I was especially impressed at a brand new palette they also have in store for this Spring, which is similar to the Croc Palette, which is a huge favorite of mine and many others. The difference? It has SIX GORGEOUS eyeshadows, a blush and a double ended brush! The Croc Palette has four eyeshadows and a blush and costs $35. The new palette will retail for $38, so you can already tell why this is a great deal. I cannot remember the name of the palette for the life of me, but I know that the compact is too beautiful. All I can say is expect a fun, colorful and sparkly packaging! Miss Carol Shaw, celebrity make-up artist and founder of LORAC, will be beautifying celebrities for this year's Oscars ceremony and will use these new products. I will find out who and I will bring you some pictures so you can see how LORAC's creator works her magic with her own products!

Here's another video tutorial. This one has no talking, but you can pretty much see how I achieve the look. I've used Urban Decay's Jones, Peace and Graffiti eyeshadows, Milani Sparkly Black eyeshadow, Too Faced's Contour and Angled Eyeshadow brushes to achieve the look. I'm working on an article about my own personal skin care regimen. I've had a very bad case of acne in the past year, and after much trial and error and what seemed to be endless money spending, I found products that work for me. In this article I will show unedited pictures of my face before it miraculously healed. I feel like other people who may have the same type of skin and the same problem should know what worked for me because it's all about trying. Stay tuned for that!

I have four mascaras that I absolutely love. Each of them give my lashes a little something that the others may not and this is why I can't do without any of them. They are all unique. I thought I'd share this top four and some pros and cons, if any, about each of them.
BOURJOIS COUP DE THEATRE / $18.00 // Like it? Buy It. This is a double ended mascara. Act 1 is the end containing the white mascara to lengthen and condition the lashes, and Act 2 is the color to "dress" them up. I use this mascara when I don't want a dramatic look.

SUE DEVITT BLACK WIDOW / $22.00 // Like it? Buy it. I love, love, love my Black Widow. I feel like this mascara hydrates my lashes leaving them soft to the touch and absolutely no flaking through-out the day. In my opinion, Black Widow makes my lashes look the most "natural" out of the four.

TOO FACED LASH INJECTION / $19.00 // Like it? Buy it. This mascara has the fattest brush of the four. I like it but don't use it as much anymore. It flakes, leaving little black specs under my eyes during the time I wear it and it has a funny smell after a while. Also dries up pretty quickly. But the look is good.

FRESH SUPERNOVA / $25.00 // Like it? Buy it. When I want a dramatic effect, this is my #1 choice. The hourglass brush is drenched in the black liquid and it grabs every possible lash I have. It lengthens like CRAZY and intensifies like no other. Whether I do simple or dramatic eyeshadow, this mascara adds a huge bang.
One tip I also want to share is a way to soften a mascara that seems to be drying up or hardening. Run some hot water from the sink and fill up a container. Tightly screw on the top of your mascara tube to make sure water doesn't get in and drop it in the container for about 10 minutes. Do this only minutes prior to application. This really helps with the fluidity of your mascara.
If I don't wear mascara, I feel like my overall look is incomplete. Finding great mascaras can be hard, but I hope that you're able to try my top four and find one that suits you : )
