What an excellent product, I don't know how I did without it before. I have a fair share of styling tools like a professional salon blow dryer, the ghd Styler Flat Iron and about 2 other drugstore brand curling irons. Needless to say, my hair is very familiar with heat and the damage that comes with it.
Just two weeks ago, I used my ghd Styler because I needed to straighten my hair urgently and didn't have time to visit the hair salon. It works great, indeed, but as I'm using this tool, I can feel how dry and brittle my ends become. I tried using a silicon hair cream and shine drops to lock in some moisture and maybe protect my hair a little, but this does not work.
In comes the Chi 44 Iron Guard Spray! I am floored by the results even a few days after using this product. Before straightening my hair with my new CHI 2 in 1 Ceramic Auto Digital Curling & Flat Iron, I'd spray each section, concentrating more on my ends than, say, the middle section of my hair. One spritz at the roots, one spritz at the middle and two spritzes at the ends. The most damaged part deserves more protection! I allow the product to set in and dry up somewhat and then go in with my iron. My hair looked beautifully smooth and most of all, my ends felt hydrated. Almost as if I had just trimmed my hair.
I love the smell of the spray as well because it is very fresh and clean. The only thing I wish is that the fragrance would stay in my hair but, unfortunately, after it dries it is pretty much gone.
This 8.5 fl. oz. bottle costs about $13.00 at Amazon and other online retailers, but BeautyChoice.com has it for $11.99.
No heating tool will ever touch my hair again without first using this spray for protection!
