Colorful Paws For The Summer! Print E-mail

OK, so while the neatly beautiful french manicure will probably never go out of style, and most people out there prefer either that or going partially dark when it comes to nail color, there are some of us out there who love to try out the edgier ones that are in between.  This summer have a blast with the wide variety of color that make-up and fashion lines are putting out, and make sure to complete the look with a superbly vibrant nail color.

ImageI personally love the ones that contain no shimmer.  I was never a big fan of metallic shades and while I think it is okay on certain colors, I generally would like to leave the metallic ones back in the year 2000 : )  My thought is that a solid, rich color makes a bigger statement (whatever statement it is that you're trying to make) and is more eye catching.  If you choose your shades wisely to contrast with your accessories, your nail color can be a big part of your look.  Modernized and fashionable artists like Mizz Rihanna Fenty wear loud shades like orange, purple, hot pink, and acqua blue.  Sometimes your accessories don't even have to be colorful, you can simply be wearing a black outfit and have some neon green lacquer on those paws to add edge onto the sexiness.

It's hard to come by some of these colors at a regular store and I am devastated that my beloved Missha, a Korean cosmetics company, is no longer in the states.  While they were still here, I managed to grab me a hot pink, a blue, a yellow and an orange.  I can't quite remember the price exactly, but I'm pretty sure I paid less than $8.00 total.  And let me tell ya, the colors are rich (2 coats does the job) and long-lasting.  But, since Missha is gone, I've been looking at OPI's colors and their Brights by OPI collection seems like the best choice!  I would also recommend their India collection.  As we all know, OPI is the leading brand in nail care, so I'm sure we won't be disappointed!

It's summer, it's bright and beautiful out so have fun blending in with it!
