When I got this product to try, I didn't know if I really wanted to use it. I generally don't like the super straight hair look. I find that some soft curls or waves in my hair make me look much better. My hair type is a bit coarse and naturally wavy. I use a relaxer formulated for children (either Just For Me or Beautiful Beginnings) to get rid of the kinks every few months. However, sometimes I don't have the time or the money to go get it done at the hair salon and my hair grows out its natural way at the roots, making it look more volumized than I wish, LOL.
So, one of those times happened recently and I decided that maybe using this straightening balm on my roots and then blowing it out might actually work. And it did! I was pretty amazed at how effective this was. I mean, my hair can be tough when it's wavy and even the strong heat from a blow dryer can't make it as straight and soft as relaxing it would. But with this product I can hold off on relaxing it a while longer. The results after using it is as if I had gotten my hair chemically relaxed.
I don't really know if I want to buy it again, though. It has nothing to do with how it works, obviously. It's just that chemically relaxed or dyed hair should be treated delicately and the only way this product works is if I blow it out. Everyone knows that excessive heat can permanently damage hair. :(

I tried a sample of this...and it wasn't what I expected.I blew my hair out and I still had to use a flatiron because my hair looked super puffy...lol...it just wasn't a right fit for my hair!
